When the weather forecast calls for a "heat wave" (three or more days of 90 degree weather), the Senior Center will be opened as a Cooling Station from 9:00AM to 10:00PM weekdays and weekends. The Senior Center is located at 39 Dumont Avenue.
The Borough of Dumont, in conjunction with the Bergen County Wellness Program, can provide you, your family members, as well as your pets with a free prescription drug card.
Program Highlights
This program can be used by residents without a prescription drug benefit program or as a supplement for an insured prescription plan. It can also be used as a Medicare Part D supplement by covering drugs once participants reach the "donut hole".
As an added bonus, the card also offers discounts prescriptions for your pets.
Cards are available at the Dumont Borough Hall. Each family member should have their own card which will be returned to he/she for future use.

There will be a hearing on the 2016 Municipal Budget at the May 17, 2016 Mayor and Council Public Meeting at the Dumont Senior Center at 6:30PM.
There will be a special meeting of the Mayor and Council and the Joint Land Use Board on May 12, 2016, 10:00AM, at the Bergen County Courthouse, 10 Main Street, Courtroom 426, Hackensack, NJ. No formal action will be taken.

The May 3, 2016 meeting of the governing body of the Borough of Dumont has been cancelled due to lack of agenda. The next regularly scheduled meeting is May 17, 2016 at the Senior Center, 39 Dumont Avenue, Dumont, NJ.

Applications for 2016 commuter parking permits for municipal parking in the Brook Street Parking Lot, West Shore Avenue Section 2-5, and W. Quackenbush Avenue (north side-125 feet west of Park Avenue) will be available to Dumont residents, non-residents and business owners on a first come, first-served basis December 7, 2015. Permits may be obtained at the Borough Clerk's office, 80 West Madison Avenue, between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Please note that this does not include overnight parking. The fee is $120 per calendar year for residents and $180 per calendar year for non-residents; there is one hanger permit per household. Applicants must bring a copy of the driver's license and registration for the car to be used. No copies will be made at Borough Hall - no exceptions. For more information, call 201-387-5023.
